Sick and in need of care.

When you brought me home you thought me cute, worthy of your attention.
You loved me, raised me, gave me food.
Now Im lucky to get  a passing glance, see if Im still breathing, my heart still beating.
If i rise you hit me, if i sleep you kick me…
You've chained me to a dog house,i may never sleep in, never feel safe in
There are always others, cuter, healthier ones than I in that house, i can only watch from my short chain, thick and heavy around my neck, choking.
You say you love, but i know different
The show you put on in front of others, just another lie i am forced to live.
See the blood, the saliva dripping from my lips
I have rabies…
I bite others, spread my disease
I bite... in hopes to catch you in my jaws
You may not have bit me, but you sure as hell gave it to me
